How to make the perfect transparent refrigerator drawer mold?

For refrigerator products, surface quality is the key to customer marketing. Such as refrigerator drawer parts, GPPS, HIPS, ABS, PMMA, PC and other transparent plastics. Before manufacturing the refrigerator drawer molds, we use Moldflow analysis to ensure that the injection gate is properly positioned to avoid deformation of the end molding. In the process of making transparent refrigerator drawer molds, we should pay attention to the following problems.

Some problems should be paid attention to in the design of transparent refrigerator drawer mould.

In order to prevent the poor flow of raw materials, or uneven cooling caused by poor plastic molding, surface defects and deterioration, generally in the mold design, we should pay attention to the following points:

1. The wall thickness should be as uniform as possible, and the demoulding slope should be large enough;

2. The transition part should be smooth, and gradually transition, to prevent sharp corners, sharp edges, especially PC products must not have a notch

3. The gate and runner should be as wide and short as possible, and the gate position should be set according to the shrinkage and condensation process, and the cold well should be added when necessary;

4. The surface of the mold should be smooth and clean with low roughness (preferably less than 0.8);

5. The vent groove must be sufficient to discharge the air and the gas in the melt in a timely manner

6. Except PET, the wall thickness should not be too thin, generally not less than lmm.
